Yahoo charges $49.95 to list a U.S. home in their Yahoo! Real Estate section for 21 days. We include a Yahoo listing for free as part of our marketing package. This is a great deal!
Unfortunately, Yahoo - who is in business to make money - has been developing partnerships with brokerages in some areas. These result in certain markets being off-limits to any listings not carried by these realtors. We can't buy them. You can't buy them. What follows below is the information Yahoo provides on their website.
As you can see, Yahoo refers you to their partners and briefly discusses the MLS. If using the MLS is or might be of interest to you, did you know that FSBO homesellers can now take advantage of what is called a "flat fee listing" to get their home listed on the MLS without listing their home with a realtor? I post a listing directly on Yahoo! in certain markets?
